Jason Cohen

trainer | brooklyn

Jason believes in applying the best training techniques to motivate dogs, inspire owners, and help foster a better relationship between them. He is a graduate of the Canine Training and Behavior Specialist program at the Starmark Academy, the world’s largest and most comprehensive dog training school.

Jason has been passionate about dogs since childhood, when a loyal pack of strays would follow him around town. But it wasn’t until his rescue dog, Cheddar, started exhibiting signs of leash aggression that he became inspired to learn about training and start helping other dogs and their owners. He believes that helping humans and dogs communicate better is the best way to enhance both their lives.

Currently, Jason volunteers helping rescue dogs with Brooklyn Badass Animal Rescue and Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS). He is a veteran of the US Army, a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and Associate Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).
